According to the owner: "Our intention is to complement the existing neighborhood with familiar building materials: stucco and wood, reimagined for the 21st century. This contemporary home will meet our personal needs as aging adults: single story, no internal stairs and wide hallways. It will also be a “palette” for this artist and engineer. We appreciate the clean, uncomplicated lines of this home's exterior. We'll harness the sun by maximizing solar panels on the roof for all-electric living. On the interior, we'll welcome abundant sunlight on gallery style walls that will highlight the owner's artwork. This home is designed for “aging in place” while enjoying a carefree, drought tolerant garden, a gathering spot for our nearby family and a kitchen that is spacious enough for our grandsons to cook with us".
